So if you follow my blog or work you have probably noticed some rebranding going on. I’ve been doing this photography gig for over three years now and I’ve always been one to recognize that people that specialize in a field usually know what they are doing. With that said, about a year ago I made the decision to specialize in baby’s first year. I never made an announcement but slowly moved my business model in that direction. A year later I can safely say it was a successful move and business has never been better. I’m am humbled everyday by each of my clients.
With that said I’ve started working on some special treats for clients. I want to put a total focus on customer service – I mean real customer service from that inital welcome package when booking filled with goodies to an intimate ordering session with treats and a sweet lullabye slideshow. I want parent’s to continue to get giddy over their one year session as they are about their newborn session and pure customer service is the way to do it. I mean I specialize in a field where mom’s are overjoyed (and hormonal) with the thought of their little one arriving, then exhausted (but excited about the photos) by the time they reach me for their newborn session then happy they survived the first year when I see them at their 1 year session. Theses moms deserve to be pampered and received gifts outside of the images they pay for.
So here is the first gift I came up with. When I first started Keri Meyers had a blog post about a friend who made onesies with cute sayings and her logo. Okay so this gift is a bit promotional for me but I made sure it wasn’t tacky promotional. Instead of tracking down the girl Keri had spoken of, I headed to my favorite store in the world – etsy. After searching through many designers I stumbled on Caustic Threads lil’ shop. Oh I was in love. She hand dyes her onesies, creates custom screen prints and will even add your logo. We discussed colors and came up with the perfect onesie to compliment my branding and look super sweet on my little 6 month olds when they see me again after their newborn session. What mom doesn’t want a cute onesie for their babe? So here it is! I LOVE it!! Erica was amazing and I’m over the moon thrilled with our final product.
Here’s sweet Holden ( one of my baby planners) modeling it for us. He’s a cute!
