Noah and his mom were so easy to work with. After I spoke with his mom, I knew that they trusted me to create the simple hometown senior session in Downtown Columbia they described. I chose some photo locations in Downtown Columbia and scouted out a nearby field for the part of the session that Noah was most excited about. We strolled around downtown Columbia, stopped in at Variety Records and strolled through alleys. Once finished we headed to the field conveniently located right outside of Downtown. Noah was not up for a 2 hour session so we finished in 1 hour and he was a happy senior client!
Last year I captured more senior guys photos than I had in the past. There was a surge mid-summer. There is something special about guy's sessions. I love working with my senior girls but senior girl moms have so many photos of their daughters. Senior moms to guys....I would think not so much. They aren't the ones creating dance videos or taking a million selfies. They give push back when any camera is pushed their way leaving mom with a handful of pics. So being able to capture these for moms of senior guys is a special gift I think. I'm looking forward to more senior guy sessions this year and discovering new locations.
