Let's be honest. You're here to figure out if you want to book muah for your session. Do we connect? Right? Well....First off I believe one of my purposes in life is to use my creative eye to capture life. I capture people and who they are. From the wild joy of childhood to the emotional journey of a woman - I want to capture it. Now in my 40's I truly realize the power of a photo. Really realize it. There are moments I can no longer remember because I have lived a full life but a photo can always take me back. My daughters are now tweens and I find myself more often strolling through the boxes of photographs I've printed over the years or just standing in awe of them in the concept work I did when they were young. I look at my own senior photos my mom saved and I'm taken back to carefree days and honestly some wild nights. In this world of instant video I still find photos create an emotion that lingers not only in the mind but in the heart and soul. I want to capture my clients in this time in their life as they are.
So the personal stuff. I'm a mom to two girls who are yin and yang. I'm a fan of all music especially Dave Matthews Band. My other favorite things are yoga, writing, gardening, sushi, a good book and spending time with Mother Earth. I just love life really. My dream car is a CJ7 Jeep (dream it is because to own one of those you need to know a mechanic). I'm one of those weird people that likes to clean and did I mention I'm writing a memoir? You get one life - seize it!
I'm an award winning & internationally published photographer that's been at this photography gig for over 12 years. Originally from North Carolina I found Tennessee by way of Florida twelve years ago and have never looked back. I am a life long learner with a background in elementary education, event planning and interior design.
