Fierce & Feminine
Mallory is part of TEAM24 and the first session of Class of 2024! She brought it and the variety we got was astounding. Mallory is so laid back and go with the flow that she's up for anything.
So while Mallory was getting her hair and makeup done by Morgan her mom showed me her purple Taylor Swift boots. I knew we had to use them but what she had brought to wear just didn't work. I had thrown some dresses from my senior closet in the back of my car and she chose the one I sooooo badly wanted to use! A few safety pins later we were ready to run through a field of zinnias at South40 with golden light flowing behind her and show off those boots on random car in a field....I love the contrast of feminine and masculine with those photos...a balance of texture and energy. I just love everything about Mallory's session and so look forward to capturing her throughout her senior year!
I love working with my models because I can try different things be it posing, post processing and business tools - like my new software. However with Mallory we headed to a parking garage to play with a pink wall and single light focused above. I tried out my flash I haven't used really ever and got some cool effects that seems to be on trend with my clients. Now would I photograph an entire session in her parking garage pink wall style - no - but I love adding a little variety to the senior's sessions outside of the "senior portrait". Something for mom and my seniors.
So scroll through the session of a perfect mix of fierce and feminine.
